Kimberly Cooper Griffin is an award-winning author of contemporary romance novels in the lesbian fiction genre and the award-winning non-fiction Inkslinger series for writers. Born in San Diego, California, Kimberly joined the Air Force, traveled the world, and eventually settled down in Denver, Colorado, where she lives with her wife, the youngest of her three daughters, and a menagerie of dogs and cats.
Her fiction explores the complexities of building relationships and finding balance when life has a tendency to get in the way, and her non-fiction guides writers through the often complex writing process.

Finnian Burnett is a college instructor of creative writing, early English Literature, and undergrad composition. Finn has helmed the GCLS Writing Academy since 2015, evolving the program to the highly coveted service it is today. Finn also runs workshops on a multitude of subjects such as writing flash fiction, plotting and outlining, creating realistic characters, and writing the body. They hold a doctoral degree in English Pedagogy with a focus on using story based pedagogy to create equity in multicultural classrooms.
Finn’s work appears in Reflex Press, Ekphrastic Review, Blank Spaces Magazine, WordWorks Magazine, Brilliant Flash Fiction, Daily Sci-Fi, and more. Finn’s latest collection, The Clothes Make the Man, shortlisted in the Bath novella-in-flash awards and was released by Ad Hoc Fiction. A second flash fiction collection, The Price of Cookies, is forthcoming through Off Topic Publishing. Finn’s one self-published book, Coyote Ate the Stars, won first place in fantast in the Writer’s Digest Book Awards.
When not writing, watching too much Star Trek, or futilely trying to grow a garden, Finn spends their time taking their cat for walks in a stroller. Finn lives in British Columbia with their wife, and Lord Gordo, the cat. For more about Finn, check out their website here.

Kimberly and Finnian met years ago through the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Writing Academy. They connected over a shared love of coffee, nerding out of the nuances of dialogue formatting, a borderline obsessive fascination with plot structures and a passion for teaching. As their friendship grew, so did their collaboration. They wrote
Kimberly and Finnian met years ago through the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Writing Academy. They connected over a shared love of coffee, nerding out of the nuances of dialogue formatting, a borderline obsessive fascination with plot structures and a passion for teaching. As their friendship grew, so did their collaboration. They wrote a book together and produced a series of how-to writing videos to go along with it.
In 2020, Kimberly and Finnian began running classes together on various topics such as plotting a novel, how to write flash fiction, deep diving into point of view, and much more.
When students left the courses, they often asked for feedback or on-going mentoring. That naturally evolved into setting up regular coaching sessions both individually and together. Kimberly and Finnian offered manuscript support, writers’ block coaching, writing dates, and plot/outlining services.
After signing several long-term coaching clients, the pair decided to make it official and give their partnership a name.
Page One Writing Coaches was born.
